Pre-galvanized Steel Tubes

Pre-galvanized steel pipes are the wise choice for high-quality pipeline engineering. Galvanizing treatment should be carried out before processing and forming to ensure that the zinc layer is evenly covered and tightly adhered. Has excellent anti rust ability and effectively responds to various environmental challenges. Widely used in building decoration, indoor and outdoor water supply and drainage, electrical protection and other fields, with its stable quality, good processing adaptability and beautiful appearance, it provides reliable, durable and economically efficient pipeline solutions for many engineering projects.

Parameter of Pre-galvanized Steel Tubes

Hot dip galvanized steel pipe is a steel pipe product in which ordinary steel pipes are subjected to a series of pretreatment and immersed in high-temperature zinc solution, causing a chemical reaction between zinc and the surface of the steel pipe, thereby forming a uniform and strong adhesion galvanized layer on the surface of the steel pipe. There are various specifications available for hot-dip galvanized steel pipes, including different outer diameters, wall thicknesses, and lengths, to meet the different needs of various projects.

Features of Pre-galvanized Steel Tubes

  1. As the zinc layer is uniformly and firmly adhered to the raw material prior to the formation of the steel pipe, it exhibits a remarkable anti-corrosion effect. Even in some relatively severe environmental conditions, pre-galvanized steel pipes can maintain a rust-free state for an extended period, thereby significantly prolonging the service life of the pipes and reducing the maintenance and replacement costs resulting from rust.

  2. The appearance presents a consistent zinc layer color and lustrous finish, which is highly aesthetically pleasing. Pre-galvanized steel pipes can enhance the overall quality and visual appeal of a building with their fine exterior.

  3. Despite being galvanized, it still demonstrates good adaptability during subsequent processing. Operations such as cutting, bending, and threading can be carried out with ease.

  4. The strict control over the galvanization process of the raw materials during production, combined with the proficient application of the subsequent forming techniques, endows pre-galvanized steel pipes with stable quality and performance characteristics. Simultaneously, the quality and thickness of the zinc layer remain relatively constant, ensuring the reliability and long-term durability of the anti-rust properties.

  5. Although the initial galvanization cost in the production stage is relatively high, when considering the entire life cycle, due to its outstanding anti-rust performance, the need for frequent maintenance, repair, and replacement is minimized, leading to effective control of the overall cost.

Pre galvanized steel tube is a steel tube that is galvanized from a steel sheet before it is formed and welded into a tube. Steel tubes that are formed and galvanized afterwards are sometimes referred to as post-galvanized steel tubes, but hot-dipped steel tubes are a more commonly used expression.

Galvanized steel pipe or galvanized steel tube is the most popular type of galvanized steel tube manufacturing because the equipment required for manufacturing is relatively inexpensive and the process is highly scalable. Unlike hot-dip steel tubes, the time required for galvanizing the steel sheet is short, so the alloy layer in which iron and zinc are mixed is small and the pure zinc layer is thick.

However, since the zinc applied to the steel sheet is removed by the heat upon welding the pre-galvanized steel tube, re-sealing the exposed steel on the outside surface with zinc thermal spray is a required post-treatment process. This also means that the welding seam on the inside of the steel tube is not galvanized. The sacrificial anode properties of zinc allow for leaving the inner welding seam exposed without reducing the corrosion resistance and longevity of the product.
